Posted on April 8th, 2023.

March is Women’s History Month, a month where we honor and celebrate the contributions women have made throughout history.

Women in home care CDPAP are devoted and admirable individuals. For generations, women have contributed greatly to the home care industry, continually making a positive impact. As we near the end of Women’s History Month, QDM recognizes the incredible women who are, or once were, caregivers for their loved ones. Their loyalty does not go unnoticed. Today, over 68% of caregivers are women.

Look Back On History

Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of Franklin D. Roosevelt, cared for her husband when his polio condition took over his body, leaving him paralyzed. She was not only a mother and wife, but also her husband’s caregiver. When her husband was elected president, Eleanor took on the role of First Lady. She continued to assist her husband with his political responsibilities and everyday obstacles. Even after her husband’s passing, Eleanor continued to advocate for those facing obstacles and unable to care for themselves.

“To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart.” - Eleanor Roosevelt
